Whitney Owens Hemsath grew up writing stories, poems and song lyrics. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Screenwriting from Chapman University in 2005. After an LDS mission to Argentina, she came home and married her best friend, and together they have four boys that rock their world on a daily basis. They currently live in Minnesota, and when she’s not busy supporting her husband in his PhD program or helping four kids survive a global pandemic, she is writing whichever story currently holds her captive. She has sold multiple short stories, and is currently in revisions on a YA Sci-Fi novel, a humorous children’s picture book promoting art and the power of persistent imagination, as well as an LDS non-fiction book about how to find symbols of Christ in your everyday life. Her secret writing love, however, is song parodies. When she wants to relax, there’s nothing better than brownies a la mode and a really good back scratch.
